A magistrate court in Ibadan has issued an order to remand Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, in prison.
This comes following allegations that he sexualised a minor in one of his viral skit videos.
The Nigerian Police had called for the arrest of Trinityguy after a video of his dangerous pranks went viral, as confirmed by Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer.
In a statement released by the Oyo State Police Command on Friday, it was revealed that the skit maker and the parent of the little girl featured in the viral video were questioned by the command and were scheduled to appear in court on Monday, today.
Presenting the defendant before Magistrate Olúdáre Adebayo, the counsel for Trinityguy, who was brought to the court by the police, pleaded with the court to grant bail to his client.
However, Magistrate PO Adetuyibi denied the bail application, stating that the allegation against the skit maker is currently under the scrutiny of the State Ministry of Justice.
The court further ruled that the parents of the minor girl seen in the video would also be remanded alongside Trinityguy until the next court session.
The Magistrate adjourned the case until July 11.
