Keyamo petitions DSS against Obi, Datti seeks for their arrest

Festus Keyamo, the minister of state for labour and employment and Spokesman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo SAN has petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS) over alleged incendiary comments by presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi and his running mate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed.

The senior lawyer shared a copy of the petition via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday.

Mr Keyamo accused the presidential candidate and his running mate of inciting insurrection against Bola Tinubu, the president-elect in a petition to the State Security Service on Thursday.

He argued that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party and his running mate were not ready to follow the path of amity and national unity.

He said, “Earlier today, I submitted a petition to the Dept of State Services (DSS) against Mr. Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed to rein them in for their conducts and utterances which bother on incitement & treasonable felony.

“A call for peace & national healing does not amount to weakness”.

His petition was submitted two days after Peter Obi formally challenged the procedure used to determine the winner of the February 28, 2023, presidential election.
