President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday met the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele, and the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mr. Mele Kyari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting is the president’s official assignment signed after his swearing in on Monday, May 29.
The agenda of the meeting was not made public, but feelers say it is not unconnected to the president’s decision to remove fuel subsidy on his inauguration day.
Unification of foreign exchange among other economic issues were also expected to be touched during the meeting.
