The Deputy Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly and lawmaker representing Ilaje Constituency 1, Rt. Hon. Abayomi Akinruntan has again put smile on the faces of Aged, Widows and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Ilaje Local Government spanning through all political wards and beyond party line.
This annual programme was well-attended by Aged men and women, including persons with disabilities, PWDs, as they converged at Rt. Hon. Akinruntan’s residence in Igbokoda to receive Rice and Cassava flour (Garri) in sack bag.
Addressing the gathering, the Olu of Erunna, Oluwadamilohun appreciated Rt. Hon. Akinruntan for prioritizing the welfare of Ilaje people, acknowledging his developmental strides to bring succour. Olu Oluwadamilohun spelt out numerous kind gestures of Rt. Hon. Akinruntan, highlighting the flagged-off youth-driven skill acquisition programme, financial support for business owners, payment of hospital bills, tuition fees, house rent of vulnerable constituents.
Deputy Speaker Akinruntan in his words, emphasized on prioritizing the Welfarism of Ilaje people noting why this initiative of whooping sum was masterminded by ABA Foundation to help vulnerable constituents with food stuffs and provision of cash to cover mobility cost.
Beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the Deputy Speaker for remembering them and voiced their happiness in prayers and good wishes.
