Rihanna reveals baby’s name one year after birth

Pop star Rihanna has social media buzzing after her child’s name was revealed, one year after he was born.

The singer, 35, and her partner A$AP Rocky, 34, welcomed their first child together on May 13, 2022.

According to the boy’s birth certificate obtained by The Daily Mail, his name is RZA Athelston Mayers.

The baby is believed to be named after producer and rapper RZA, 53, who leads the iconic hip-hop group, the Wu-Tang Clan, comprising RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and the late Ol’ Dirty B**tard.

The multi-grammy award-winning singer has also been spotted wearing clothing repping Wu-Tang Clan, since giving birth, alluding to the claims.

RZA, born in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, is believed to have been given his father’s middle name Athelston. Up until his name was revealed, he was presumed to be named Noah.

Fans have since taken to different social media platforms to share their thoughts upon this revelation.

One fan tweeted; “Not Rihanna naming that baby after a Wu-Tang Clan, I can see why she tried to keep it secret.”

Another tweeted; “Now I know d**n well Rihanna ain’t name that baby that…”

“I know Rihanna let A$AP pick that damn name. She really in love,” said another.”
